As an addition to the Energy
Study for the Construction Technology Building at Los Angeles Trade Technical
College, this Illuminance Studio was created being an intern at e7
Architectural Studio.
At the Energy Studio were
analyzed different configurations of the perforated metal sheets that acted as
fins. At this Illuminance Studio were studied the level of natural daylight at
the affected zones in different dates to be ensure that the changes of configuration of the metal
sheets would not penalize the consumption of energy to have the building within
a correct level of illumination.
At the video shown, it is
possible to watch the comparison of the level of illumination in lux for
different dates and different zones using only natural daylight to calculate
the electrical light needed to keep the comfort level of illumination within
the acceptable range.
